Hi, I’m Wilbur the big puppy dog. I’m a ONE year old Beauceron. Sometimes people see me and think I’m sooo scary because of the way I look, but I’m such a happy and friendly guy. When Len, Nicole and Kyla (that’s my foster dad, my foster sister and my sister from another mother) picked me up, I just jumped into the van and licked Nicole right on the face. I love to lick (faces, toes, fingers, ears…you get the picture). Wilbur is located in Ontario, Canada.

*What is a courtesy listing? Courtesy listings mean the dog does NOT belong to the American Beauceron Club Rescue, it means they are still with their owners or breeder, and not in danger. ABCR will put potential interested parties in contact with the dog’s guardian. We do not help sell dogs or puppies. A reasonable rehoming fee usually applies (often the cost of vaccinations and altering is considered a reasonable rehoming fee.) Because these dogs do not belong to the American Beauceron Club we often have limited information about them. Again, please contact us so we can connect you with the dog’s current owner/breeder/guardian.

Bella

Bella

Bella – Bella was surrendered by her owners who found themselves overwhelmed when they purchased a pair of littermates. She was adopted out to first time Beauce owners who adore her! I asked them recently how Bella was doing, here is what they said.

Bella Vita, formerly Hanji, rescued us in July 2015 after our black lab mix, Hamburgers, passed away from bone cancer. The ABC rescue and Bella’s foster family were very helpful in facilitating everything she needed to fly from South Carolina to Maine. Bella’s foster Dad told us that she was a Velcro dog that loves to kiss and he wasn’t exaggerating. Bella has been the perfect addition to our family and we couldn’t ask for a sweeter pooch. Although she doesn’t hold any certifications, her biggest accomplishment was learning how to climb/not be afraid of stairs. The first few weeks we had her she wouldn’t climb the stairs in our house so we brought the mattress from our spare bed down to the living room and took turns sleeping with her at night. She is such a blessing and we couldn’t possibly love her more. We are very thankful to the ABC rescue and her foster family. We hope to rescue another Beauceron from the club someday.

Artemis

Artemis

Artemis – Artie was surrendered by her owners at just 10 months of age for being shy and frightened of strangers. With a little bit of patience and lots of training from her foster mom and current owner she had a complete transformation!

Artemis, an 11 month old female, came to her forever home in February 2016. We jumped into socialization, obedience and nosework training. She is now my mobility service dog, as well as the first beauceron to title in NACSW (National Association of Canine Scent Work) Nose Work, where she qualified in all three odors. Her formal name is Lesya the Huntress du Chateau Rocher CGC CGCA CGCU SD NW1. We hope to add nosework, rally, and obedience titles in our journey together. She is an outstanding ambassador for the breed both locally and as we travel the USA and Canada in an RV a third of the year. Thank you, ABCR, for allowing my life to be blessed by this gorgeous, loving beauceron.

Yoshi – Yoshi was pulled from a high kill shelter as a 5/6 month old puppy, this beautiful Beauce mix boy was found in an abandoned house and brought to a shelter by the animal control officers. They contacted Beauceron rescue and we were able to place him with his perfect human! Here is what she what to say.

Yoshi is the greatest, he was adopted in October of 2016 by a dog trainer. Yoshi now teaches all of the trainer’s basic and advanced obedience classes and lessons and is a model student. He is a quick learner and loves to be involved in everything from obedience to agility to retrieve. The best part about Yoshi though is how much he loves everything. People, dogs , and children of all ages, Yoshi greets everyone with a lick.

Iago

Iago

Iago is a 6 year old uncropped black and tan male Beauceron. He was surrendered when his owner simply didn’t have the time to provide Iago with a happy life.

He is well mannered, a very good boy in the house, and is even good off leash for his foster mom. Iago is a very polite boy with people and other animals. He has lived happily with other dogs, including toy breeds. Iago was fostered in Colorado until his foster mom decided she couldn’t imagine her life without him! He’s been adopted and is living the good life biking with his pack.
