Iago
Iago is a 6 year old uncropped black and tan male Beauceron. He was surrendered when his owner simply didn’t have the time to provide Iago with a happy life.
He is well mannered, a very good boy in the house, and is even good off leash for his foster mom. Iago is a very polite boy with people and other animals. He has lived happily with other dogs, including toy breeds. Iago was fostered in Colorado until his foster mom decided she couldn’t imagine her life without him! He’s been adopted and is living the good life biking with his pack.
Rusty
Rusty, NEW TO ABC RESCUE! Young male located in San Diego, CA area.
A young male entered rescue with a great foundation of training. His foster family wasted no time falling in love and now he’s happily living out in California having regular play dates with other beauceron families.
Baldrick
Meet Baldrick
! This 2 year old boy is new to ABCR and man, has he had a rough couple of months.
Baldrick was purchased from a BYBer at 8 weeks of age. His owner loved him very much, but her mental health issues kept her from properly socializing him. A family member stepped in and took Baldrick.
He did well in her home with her children and other pets, except for her small Jack Russell dog. Baldrick and the Jack Russell got into several scuffles, so the poor guy had to once again find a new home. Fortunately, they contacted ABCR and we got Baldrick into a loving foster home. So far he doing well!
He is housebroken, walks nicely on a leash and has basic manners. He is getting along well with the foster family’s other dog, a Beauce mix, and ignores her livestock. He is small dog aggressive and will chase cats, so NO SMALL PETS for this fella! His foster says he LOVES to play ball and is very snuggly.
JoJo
Jojo Is a 2 year old uncropped black and tan female Beauce. She is crate trained, housebroken, and has basic manners. In fact this young lady has even earned her CGC (Canine Good Citizen) award since being in foster care!
She was surrendered to rescue because she wasn’t getting along with the other dogs in the household. She seems to get along well with male dogs, but is very selective about other females. We will only consider placing her in a home with male dogs. Ideally she would thrive as an “only child.”
NOTE: This young lady is still undergoing training and evaluation, although we are accepting inquiries about her she is NOT ready to go to her new home
Lena
This young lady just turned two years old. She was pulled from a shelter in Indiana. She is new to ABCR, so keep an eye out for updates!
She was fostered in Indiana with a loving foster family. So far she is a sweetie, a little shy and scared, but is coming out of her shell. She enjoys the company of other dogs.
UPDATE: Lena has been adopted! Congratulations to her new family on a wonderful addition to their lives.
Tessa
Tessa was rescued from a shelter in Virginia. This escape artist would run loose with her friend until Animal Control picked them up. After one too many adventures, she ended up in the care of ABCR. We got her down to a foster in Georgia where she quickly flourished. Her forever home came soon afterwards. Now she enjoys her boxer packmate and going to work with her new owner.
Missy
Missy is a 5 year old harlequin female. This pretty girl has naturally upright ears and double dews on the back and front legs!
Her foster owner says she is a pleasure to have; she is housebroken and has basic manners. We recently did xrays and were pleased to find she has good hips and elbows. She does have some arthritis in her spine, which she didn’t receive treatment for in her previous home. We are trying some medications to see if this helps her have a little more giddyup in her step.
She gets along with other mellow dogs, but has little interest in young, bouncy, whippersnappers. We would prefer she go to a home with older children, as she doesn’t seem to have been socialized to younger children.
Missy is being fostered in North Carolina.
