Nyko Earns Rally Intermediate!
Robyn Salley and Nyko (Nocturne of the Ruined King des Monts du Lac) competed in four rally intermediate trials in Belton, Texas. They qualified in each trial and earned three 1st place awards. Congratulations to Robyn and Nyko!

UM Needs Your Blood (Samples)!

Our Beauceron community has the opportunity to develop a DNA swab kit for the disease Dilated Cardiomyopathy, DCM. Once developed, this kit would be available worldwide. The Animal Molecular Genetics Laboratory at the University of Missouri – College of Veterinary Medicine needs blood samples and pedigrees from unaffected AND affected dogs.
The Submission Protocol and Sample Forms are available through the links (and you will need to include your dog’s pedigree). This process is completely confidential and no information is shared with the ABC or breed community. If you would like to read more about this study see Dr. Johnson’s 2015 article in The Beauceron Bulletin (page 4).

Patrón Busy During Corona’tine!
Pick Your Poison du La Cour Des Reves (Patrón) and owner Alissa Felix have been very busy this year. Patron became the third Beauceron to earn the AKC Trick Dog Elite Performer title. He also got his Rally Intermediate, CGC, Virtual Home Manners, and AKC TT titles. Way to go Patrón!

Oshi Earns HTADs-1 and Goes HIT!
At the AHBA trial held by the San Pasqual Valley Herding Club, Océane and I trialed for our HTADs-1 title. We did two runs against six to seven competitors. First run was a Q and third place due to losing a sheep at the start that I did not want to lose time trying to pick up. Our second run, Océane swept away the competition with a first place run losing only 1/2 a point and securing herself not only the new title of HTAD 1 but also High in Trial at the end of it all!! I am immensely proud of my bred-by bitch and the amount of talent she continues to show me on the herding field.
