Please know that per our Bylaws, the Nominating Committee members are being announced at the Annual Meeting. The Nominating Committee must be in place by June 15th of each year. Many thanks to the following club members who have agreed to serve on this committee! We appreciate you!

• Board positions to elect in 2021 include: President, Secretary, Region 1, Region 3.
• The committee shall submit its slate of candidates and their resumes to the secretary by August 1st.
• The secretary shall send a list of nominees to each member that includes the candidates’ full names, state of residence, and occupation on or before August 15th, so that additional nominations may be made by the membership if they desire.

Hello, Everyone! I am writing on behalf of Kara Staroski and the ABC Rescue. 

Thank you for your support of the ABC National Specialty! To participate in the raffle please read the following rules/guidelines. 

Online sales will be open on June 11^th, 12^th, and 13^th. 

If you are attending in person PLEASE purchase tickets in person. Online sales are only for ABC members who can not attend the National Specialty. 

The raffle will be held on June 17^th after the top 20 competition, or at the National Specialty Committee’s discretion. 

Tickets are $2 each and can be purchased via paypal at: ABCJournee@gmail.com

A check can also be snail mailed to our treasurer. 

Once you have purchased your tickets please give Kara Staroski your ticket order using the following format. “Hello, “My Name” has purchased 10 tickets. I can be reached at: 123-456-7890 and email@emailaddress.com 

• 5 to go to item number 11, the treat jar. 
• 5 tickets to go to item number 30, the zippered Beauceron Bag.

Hello, ABC Club!

We have two updates for you regarding the health clinic scheduled to be held at the National Specialty this year.

Firstly, this is to confirm there will be an OFA Eye Clinic on Saturday and Sunday 6/19/21 & 6/20/21! Please email Pam Metts Boyer to make your appointment(s) at psboyer@hotmail.com.

And then secondly and unfortunately, Dr. Laura Hatton, the cardiologist who was scheduled to do the heart clinic, has notified us that she will not be able to attend the specialty due to an emergency family illness. Dr. Hatton sends her deepest regrets for those who had planned on this testing opportunity, and in turn, we wish Dr. Hatton’s family healing and prayers during this difficult time.

After being notified of this, efforts were made within the two state vicinity to locate another board-certified cardiologist with a mobile unit, and unfortunately, none are available.

ABC Club members, please know that a financial review committee (audit) has been appointed and approved. Many thanks to Caitlyn Bailey (chair), Susan Pamplin-Griffin, Crystal Bomer, and Regina Fasold for volunteering for this committee and the tasks involved. Treasurer Ashley DeNoma is providing statements for them to review, and will be available to the committee for their questions. This review will cover 01/01/2019 – 12/31/2020 for all ABC accounts including the PayPal account, and is scheduled to be conducted from 05/01/2021 – 7/31/2021, with a report to the membership in the August meeting. Also, this committee will provide three estimates for potential external audit providers that can be presented to the club, if it seems that an external review is warranted. It is our hope and intention that this review provides the transparency that the club deserves, while taking incremental steps in adhering to our financial responsibilities to the club. Please know we will be transparent and adhere to our duties as a BOD.
